There are very few 2nd level .my domain names registered prior to the year 1995.  In the year 1995, creation of .my domain names were controlled, i.e. only third level domain names under five categories of second level domains are allowed as follows:

     *.com.my : Private/Commercial organization
     *.edu.my : Educational organization
     *.gov.my : Government organization
     *.net.my : Network service related organisation
     *.org.my : Private non profit organization
